Does Facial Herpes Differ From Oral Herpes?

Facial herpes is an extremely common condition that affects about millions of people throughout the world and at about 80% of the American population. Nasal herpes affects the exterior and inner linings of the nose. Healing of nasal herpes can be slow and painful due the naturally moist lining of the nose. Both blowing the nose and removing scabs by hand may elongate the healing process. Nasal herpes is most often brought on by self-contamination, once again by touching and already infected area.
Can Recurrences of Facial Herpes Breakouts Be Avoided?
There are several factors that seem to bring on bouts of recurrences. Most commonly among people, these are exposure to UV light or cold and dry weather conditions. Being run down and having lowered immunity can cause breakouts to happen. The reasons for this can include not getting enough sleep, poor nutrition, drinking too much, not exercising and prolonged periods of stress.
